Ameriga (ERYT500, Master Yoga Studies, Master NLP, Life Coach) is often described as an “unconventional” yoga teacher capable of taking students to the next level of practice, and inspiring deep reflections on their own life.
In her intense, powerful and transformative lessons, Ameriga eclectically blends different styles of postural yoga. Through her understanding of functional anatomy, she invites students to find depth in the poses by exploring them, instead of “performing” them according to an ideal form. Expect creative, slow, deep and intense sequences, often leading to a climax pose and garnished with Indian philosophy, psychology, engaging music and kirtan.

Ameriga earned her first degree in Oriental Languages and Cultures and spent ten years living and traveling in various countries in East Asia. At the age of 25, while she lived in Burma, she begun practicing vipassana meditation. A few years later she was introduced to postural yoga. It was love at first asana, and since then she has studied with deeply inspiring teachers and trained for over 2000 hours, as well as a Masters in Yoga Studies (at Ca Foscari in Venice).
From 2014 to 2020 she co-created and taught at her Yoga Holiday center at the beach in Sicily, Floripa Yoga & Kitesurf House. Since 2020 she has been teaching mostly retreats and trainings across different locations in Europe and India.
In her free time, she lives at the beach where she kitesurfs and rock-climbs regularly.
The teachers who influenced her practice are Shiva Rea (with whom she has completed over 300 hours of training), Meghan Currie, Vinay Kumar (Pranavashya Yoga) and several teachers of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, starting with Gregor Maehle and Monica Gauci, who inspired her to study Sanskrit, the philosophy and anatomy of yoga.
Ameriga also practiced a lot of Ashtanga with Nancy Gilgoff, Balu Tevar and Lino Miele.
She also trained extensively in Yin Yoga with Jo Phee, also studying for advanced modules such as cadaver dissection.
Her passion for coaching began in 2017, and since then she has worked to bring reflections, journaling and life coaching into her classes and her retreats. In addition to completing an accredited degree in Transformative Coaching, Ameriga has also studied NLP, Mind Body Therapy and Astrology.
Ameriga has taught internationally in studios from Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Maui to Mauritius, and has been invited to teach at Yoga Festivals in Syracuse, Milan, Florence and Brno (Czech Republic). She collaborates with several online platforms and you can find her courses also on Mymondo and La Donna Lunare.
